Accurate Sight

Accurate Sight Feature

Next Generation Targeting/Sighting Systems

Patent Pending

Why Accurate Sight:

The hardest part of using a weapon is aiming. This usually requires looking down the barrel to align targeting sights requiring accute awareness and concentration to overcome the stress created by the situation. It also requires endless training. Accurate Sight, a new technology, can solve these problems.

Accurate Sight is technology feature. Not a weapon! It can be retrofit to many types of weapons... Guns, knives... Therefore it can be integrated into existing as well as new hardware.

What is Accurate Sight:

‘Accurate sight’ is a new, next generation, sighting/targeting system requiring only two main components. A display system, based on LCD technology, which can be easily adapted for numerous common and tactical headgear. And a sighting unit which can be easily adapted to any weapon. The simplest example would be a handgun and a pair of glasses.

The system is based on multi axis MEMS inertial reference sensors whereby each component of the system includes an individually calibrated sensor. Each sensor consists of a three-axis gyro, a three-axis accelerometer, three-axis magnetometer and a temperature sensor. Since all sensors are calibrated to the same inertial reference this approach allows for plug and play field replacements without further calibration. The sensors can be implemented to communicate over any wireless method but can easily be adapted for wired operation. Additionally, sensors specific to environmental condition can easily be adapted. As an example; Introducing wind dynamics and distance coefficients into the inertial targeting calculations allows for long range targeting. Potentially including sniping and long distance operations using drones.

The sensors communicate wireless to a high efficiency processor unit normally embedded in the display unit. The processor then utilizes the sensor data to compute the line of sight of the weapon and the display so as to place a target indicator on the display. By isolating the weapon from the display the operation becomes invisible to the target.

Taking a movie scenario from the wild west saloon poker dispute under the table shootout. Using this system the shooter, with the gun drawn under the poker table, would see exactly on the glasses where the weapon is aiming. The shooter would have a guaranteed hit.

Conclusion:

Accurate Sight is a simple solution to a complex problem. It is flexible allowing for numerous configurations. It utilizes low-cost components while delivering high-performance results. It is undetectable to the target. All components are inherently suitable for high reliability harsh environments while maintaining high resolution and high accuracy.
